Genus Adineta Hudson et Gosse 1886
Bdelloid rotifers with 3 toes; most species oviparous. The wheel organ is a ciliated field. At the posterior end of the ciliary field is a unique rake apparatus with small U-hooks and denticles. Movement is a typical form of sliding because Adineta does not attach the head like Philodinidae or Habrotrochidae. Most species are eyeless.
